Looking after your brace

Poor tooth brushing and too many sugary foods can lead to white or brown marks on your teeth when the braces come off. These do not polish off and may even require treatment from your general dentist.

As it is more difficult to clean around braces, your teeth are at a higher risk from tooth decay.

It is very important that all patients under going orthodontic treatment continue to see their regular dentist for general check-ups, as they look at different aspects of your dental health.
