Orthodontic examinations are offered free of charge to all patients under the age of 18 years referred by their general dentist. NHS treatment is based upon the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need. If you qualify for treatment under the NHS you will be exempt from paying any charges. NHS appointment times are between 9.30 am and 3 pm.
If you do not qualify for NHS funding we can only offer you treatment on a private basis.
Missed appointments
NHS patients can not be charged for missed appointments under the new contract however any patient missing multiple appointments will be deemed not to be looking after their appliances and therefore could be discharged from our care.
Replacement appliances
Failure to look after NHS appliances, by either loss or gross damage, is charged at £59.40 per part or appliance i.e.
