Show off your smile, not your braces

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made clear aligners to gradually move your teeth and create the smile you have always dreamed of. The aligners are completely bespoke, to your teeth, and as you replace each aligner you will see your teeth move towards your dream smile. The aligners remove the need for metal brackets and wires which can irritate your mouth.

Key Benefits

Comfortable

Designed with comfort in mind, and custom-made to ensure a precise and accurate fit.

Convenient

The aligners are removable, meaning you can take them out to brush your teeth and to eat and drink whatever you choose.

Effective

Gradual, gentle force is applied to move your teeth into new positions, with most cases completed in 6-18 months.

Innovative

State-of-the-art technology is used in every step, with 3D digital scanning and specially engineered SmartTrack material giving accurate results.

Your Invisalign Journey

Free Consultation - Welcome!

At your first visit to the practice, you will meet one of our Treatment Coordinators. They will take photos and a digital scan of your teeth, explain how Invisalign works and show you examples of previous cases. Our state-of-the-art iTero scanner can even show you how your smile will look after Invisalign treatment. You will also have a chance to ask any questions.

Bespoke Treatment Plan

Your second appointment will be with one of our friendly specialist Orthodontists, who will examine your teeth and gums to ensure they are healthy before proceeding with treatment. They will then make a bespoke digital treatment plan, using Invisalign’s innovative ClinCheck software. Your ClinCheck will show you how your teeth should move during your Invisalign journey, as well as the all-important end result. You will also be given a quote for the costs involved and an idea of treatment time.

Approval and Treatment

Once you are happy with your treatment plan and ClinCheck, your bespoke aligners are made just for you. The number of aligners needed varies from person to person. At your fitting appointment, we will fit your first aligners. In some cases, we’ll need to place clear attachments on your teeth to prepare them for certain movements. We will show you how to wear your aligners and explain how to care for them.

Monitoring

Each set of aligners will be slightly different and will gradually move your teeth into the desired position. During this period, you will need to attend the practice every 6-8 weeks for a short appointment. This can be reduced if you wish to become a member of our Dental Monitoring Club, which uses digital technology to reduce the number of appointments required and can reduce treatment times too. Whichever option you choose, we regularly review the movements of your teeth and check the fit of your aligners, and are always available to answer any questions or concerns.

Smile!

Once you’ve worn your final aligner, your new dream smile will be ready to show off! We will remove the attachments and take final photos and a scan for your Vivera retainers, which are custom made for you. It is important you wear your retainer regularly to keep your teeth in their new positions.

How long will treatment take?

The length of your treatment depends on multiple factors, such as how complex your case is and how often you wear your aligners. Your Orthodontist will determine exactly how long your treatment could take based on your specific needs. For maximum results, you should wear your aligners for 20-22 hours per day. On average, Invisalign treatment time is 6-18 months, although you can start seeing results in a matter of weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How often will I have appointments with my Orthodontist?

Your Orthodontist will schedule regular appointments, usually about once every six to eight weeks. The goal of these visits is to ensure your Invisalign treatment is progressing as planned.

  • Is Invisalign treatment painful?

Invisalign treatment moves your teeth by applying gentle, constant force. Some people feel temporary discomfort for the first few days of wearing a new set of aligners. Typically, people describe it as feeling ‘pressure’ and it is completely normal – a sign your Invisalign aligners are working to transform your smile.

  • What should I do if I lose or break my aligners?

If you lose or break an aligner, please let us know immediately. We will work with you to ensure you stay on track with your treatment plan which may involve jumping onto the next set of aligners or wearing your previous set of aligners and ordering a replacement.

  • Should teeth be straightened for health reasons?

The correction of poor dental positioning also improves oral hygiene. Crowded or crooked teeth are often hard to clean properly. Once your teeth are aligned, your brushing will become easier and in the long term could reduce the risk of gum disease.
